The coloseum was flooded for navel battles.The Colosseum was built by emperor Vespian in 69 A.D. Gladiators fought on the floor of this amazing structure. The floor was made of wood and covered in sand to soak all the blood from the gladiator fights. Three floors of the Collosseum were made of arches, in all there were 80 arches. The consruction was complete in 80 A.D.
